Smoke/Tobacco-Free Policies

There is no safe level of secondhand smoke. Ohio adopted the clean indoor air law to help protect people from secondhand smoke in public places. However, most people are exposed to secondhand smoke at home or at their workplaces.  SCPH is pleased to work with schools, parks, playgrounds, farmers markets, community gardens, multi-unit housing, and other outdoor spaces to adopt smoke-free or tobacco-free policies.

If you are interested in more information or in adopting a tobacco-free policy please contact Jessie Wingert at jwingert@schd.org

Secondhand smoke can infiltrate into other units through hallways and stairwells.
