Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

WIC is a nutrition education program that provides healthy supplemental foods and support services for pregnant women, new mothers, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and children up to age five. The program helps families access nutritious foods and promotes healthy development during early childhood.

Immunizations

Summit County Public Health (SCPH) participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program. Through this program, SCPH charges only a $21 administration fee per eligible vaccine. Children from birth through 18 years of age who are Medicaid-eligible, uninsured, underinsured, or American Indian or Alaska Native may qualify to receive vaccines through the VFC Program.

Neighborhood Navigators - Personalized Support for Pregnant and Postpartum Families

Neighborhood Navigators serve as a trusted connection between families and community resources. Our Navigators work one-on-one with pregnant and postpartum individuals to help them access the services and support they need for a healthy pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.

Through partnerships with local organizations, Navigators can connect families to a wide range of resources, including:

  • Baby supplies and essential infant items
  • Doula services and birth support
  • Home visiting programs
  • Mental health and counseling services
  • Food and nutrition assistance
  • Safe sleep education
  • Parenting and family support programs
  • Additional community resources based on your family's needs
