Oct 16, 2026

Summit County Public Health (SCPH) is announcing two new data collection resources designed to strengthen infectious disease monitoring and support the health of Summit County residents. The data resources will provide timely,  interactive, user friendly local communicable disease data through the Interactive Communicable Disease Data Dashboard and the Expanded Wastewater Surveillance Dashboard.  Please see the descriptions below for more details.

Interactive Communicable Disease Data Dashboard: SCPH has launched a new dashboard that provides streamlined access to local communicable disease data. The dashboard includes historical incidence data from the Ohio Disease Reporting System (ODRS) ranging from 2017 through 2025. This dashboard will also contain provisional data for the current year that will be updated monthly. Click here for the Communicable Disease Dashboard.

Expanded Wastewater Surveillance: In partnership with Biobot Analytics, SCPH has expanded weekly wastewater sampling at the Akron Water Reclamation Facility to monitor respiratory illnesses.
