WIC @ Akron-Summit County Main Children's Library

Summit County WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program) is providing on-site office hours, where you may learn more about nutrition during pregnancy or for children from birth to age 5.

Find assistance with:

  • Nutrition education and support
  • Nutritious foods for your family 
  • Breastfeeding promotion, support and education
  • Referrals to Healthy Start, maternal, prenatal and pediatric care
  • Manual or electric breast pumps for those who qualify
  • Immunization screening and referral

Summit County WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program) will visit our Baby Time programs in the Children's Library from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Wednesdays, June 26, July 24, and August 28.  WIC staff will be able to sign up people for the program, schedule appointments, and load WIC cards. WIC is an income-based nutrition education program that provides nutritious foods that promote good health for pregnant people, people who just had a baby, breastfeeding or chestfeeding parents and infants and children up to age 5.
