What is P.R.E.P. ?

P.R.E.P. stand for Personal Responsibility Education Program. The purpose of P.R.E.P. is to reduce teen pregnancy and sexually-transmitted infection rates among foster care and/or adjudicated youth.

P.R.E.P. utilizes an evidence-based train-the-trainer curriculum model to train staff working in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. Staff trained in the P.R.E.P. curriculum work with teens age 14-19 who have an increased vulnerability for risky behaviors.  The program gives these teens the opportunity to discuss and learn about sexual health with a trusted adult.
